Fergus Linehan is an internationally recognised curator, producer and commentator in the areas of arts, festivals and events. He has led the growth and development of two major international festivals - the Dublin Theatre Festival in Ireland (2000 - 2004) and the Sydney Festival in Australia (2006 - 2009). He is currently Head of Contemporary Music at the Sydney Opera House and Artistic Associate at the Edinburgh International Festival.

He has served on adjudicating panels all over the world, has given several keynote addresses and written for newspapers including The Australian and The Irish Times. Fergus was the recipient of the inaugural Sydney Music Arts and Culture Award (SMAC) for 2008 and is a supporter of the Sydney Swans and Arsenal Football Club.
