Dead Letter Chorus

Dead Letter Chorus return with “Covered By Snow”, the first single from their as yet untitled forthcoming sophomore release due out early 2011.

A splendid sojourn of simplistic songwriting and ambitious musical arrangement this single marks a new direction for Dead Letter Chorus, described by Drum Media in one simple word, "glorious" in the review for Single Of The Week.

With a second single due out late September, Dead Letter Chorus are settling in with their new label ABC Music, to deliver what promises to be one of the most exciting records of next year.

Having spent over 6 weeks touring Canada, Dead Letter Chorus return home amidst large success in Canada where their previous record, The August Magnificent, was received with open arms inciting some critics to call them “the best band outside of Canada in the past 5 years” and “Australia’s answer to Arcade Fire”. Furthermore, the band held the #1 record spot on CIUT college radio, were the first ever non-Canadian band to be featured on CBC3 national radio, and played to packed houses as one of the most hyped bands at Canadian Music Week and East Coast Music Awards festivals. Their 14-date national tour culminated in a sold-out headline show at Vancouver’s legendary Railway Club.

“I had no idea what to expect but they absolutely blew me away! Dead Letter Chorus are the best band I’ve seen outside of Canada in five years. They are Australia’s answer to the Arcade Fire. A hugely enjoyable live show and an excellent debut record.” - Grant Lawrence, CBC Radio.
