Cal Peck & The Tramps

Cal Peck and the Tramps are a band from Perth who create their sound by combining the influence of garage rock and rhythm n’ blues with contemporary indie & rock n roll.

Forming in 2008, the band has risen quickly through the local scene. Following up on the release of 2009’s Cinnamon EP, The Tramps have just released their second EP Kill For You, recorded with Andy Lawson of Debaser Studios, renowned for his work with Little Birdy, Eskimo Joe and End of Fashion.

In May 2010, The Tramps were nominated for a WAMI Award in the category of Best Blues and Roots Act, contributing further to the momentum generated by innumerous rave reviews from local street press and constant airplay of the Cinnamon EP courtesy of RTR FM, and a long list of Australian community stations. Their reputation as an exciting live act has seen the band run the gamut of venues and events across WA and earning support slots for such as acts as Heavy Trash (USA), Brian Henry Hooper (VIC) and Six Ft Hick (QLD), The Tramps were also invited to play alongside Adam Harvey, Angry Anderson, Suze De Marchi & Dave Mann and many others at the Hope From Ashes Benefit.

Cal Peck & The Tramps are currently working hard to push the release of their second EP Kill For You, appearing monthly at notorious night spot Deville‘s Pad as part of an ongoing residency, and planning their first interstate tour later this year, the band is more focused than ever on delivering you CD’s that never leave the player and exciting live performances that get you shakin’ your booty on the dance floor.
